How to measure your bike
Wheel size is the diameter of your wheel from edge to edge (A).
Tire width is the width of the tire on the wheel (B).
It’s the combination of these two numbers that determine which type of bike rack to choose.
Similar to car tires, all bike tires have markings on them. These will almost always give you the tire width and the wheel diameter you need to match them to the correct Steadyrack cycle rack.
If you can't find the markings on your tire you can simply use a tape measure to get measurements A and B.
Match your tire markings or measurements to our bike rack types above, under the 'bike specs' section. Combine this with the below steps to find the best Steadyrack to suit your bike.

eBike Rack FAQs
Is the eBike Rack suitable for eBikes with fenders?
You bet it is! Our eBike racks have been designed with fenders in mind. Just make sure you check you have a minimum clearance of 2cm / 3/4 inches between your bike's tire and the stays which attach the fender/mudguard to your bike's frame. To learn more about this, check out your bike's suitability here.
Can I charge my eBike on the eBike rack?
The Steadyrack eBike rack doesn’t come with a charger, however the 160° pivot makes getting to your charger a breeze. Simply load your eBike into your rack, and pivot to the position you need. Easy!
Will hanging my bike damage the bike frame or forks?
Hanging a bike in Steadyrack will not cause any damage to your bike. No part of the bike frame touches the rack, only the front tire, which is cradled in the steel arms.
Are Steadyrack bike racks safe to use for bikes with hydraulic brakes/forks/suspensions?
Yes! This a common concern for many bike owners with these types of brakes and suspension. When your bike is hung up vertically, the fluid in your forks will run towards the seals and keep them lubricated. This will prolong their use, so it’s actually good for your bike and forks to hang it vertically on our bike racks. If you have hydraulic brakes on your bike, the fluid will run down when the bike is hung, so we advise pumping the brakes a few times when you take the bike off the rack if it’s been there for a while. The shocks shouldn’t leak when the bike is hung up, however if they do then it’s a good indication that the seals might need replacing. Read our blog post for more information about storing bikes with hydraulic brakes in Steadyracks.
Do I need to lift my heavy eBike to use the Steadyrack?
No! We don’t know about you, but the last thing we want to do after a nice long bike ride is to haul an extremely heavy bike over our heads. With a Steadyrack, there’s no need to lift your bike at all. Simply lever your eBike onto its back wheel by locking the back brake, then slowly walk the bike backwards. This motion to get your bike onto its back wheel using the advantage of the bike’s tire will save you from having to strenuously lift the bike. The design of the rack will pick the bike up off the floor for you when you load it in.
