9 Foot Drop? or 12 Foot Drop?
Your ceiling height must be taller than the drop length of your storage system. So if your ceiling is 10 foot high you would want a 9 foot drop. If it were 14 foot high, a 12 foot drop would be best for you so you can still drop the lift to a height that wouldn't make you lift heavy items 5 feet in the air.

"I choose the Ceiling Sam garage lift for a few reasons: 1, There is no motor up there. I didn't have to wire in a custom power hook up. The torque on the fitted gearbox holds about 500 - 800 lbs easily. I can move it up and down with my handy Milwaukie drill when there really is a lot of weight on it. This makes it so much easier. Everybody else on the market right now has some sort of a power set up and then you have to come up with the way to get the power to it. Then you have got these crazy bluetooth apps, and then they only hold 300 lbs of weight."
